Originally launched in 2007 built to survey quality without being in survey, this substantial explorer was refurbished and relaunched in 2016 with a luxury interior providing a Five cabin layout with a full beam master suite, guest suit and 2 x forward Double bunk room and an extra 2 King singles in the lower accommodation. Complete with two bathrooms, exterior day toilet and shower and a spacious saloon and dinette. The sophisticated pilot house has an extra crew bunk and mini kitchen dinette area. With a cruise of 10 knots and plenty of fuel this vessel has a huge nautical mile range. Onboard power is provided by a 124hp generator backed up by a 40hp auxiliary. The massive deck space caterers for a big group and offers room to move for serious diving and fishing trips. Kitted with two Tenders 7m Diesel Steyr stern drive and for fun a diesel Steyr Jet boat serviced by an impressive 2300 kg HIAB crane. The Gordon Blaauw designed Bilge keel arrangement allows the vessel to sit on sea bed floor in those huge tidal areas making it the perfect vessel to explore the Kimberley’s and beyond.

Vessel Description
  • 3.1 A private vessel designed by Gordon Blaauw and built Northern Star United Group, WA. She is purpose built for her present role as a private vessel.
  • 3.2 She has a raised bow, hard chine bilge, sponson, and three decks. She is powered by twin diesel engines through twin shaft driven fixed pitch propellers and a bow thruster. She is fitted with stabilisers.
  • 3.3 The fore deck has an anchor winch, access to the chain locker void space, HIAB crane and provision for two tenders.
  • 3.4 The “Fly Bridge” is above the main salon and accessed by a set of stairs on the aft starboard side. The fly bridge has a central con position, with navigation equipment on the forward console and radio’s in the deck head above the con position. On the starboard bulkhead is an electrical switchboard. There are three chairs, equally spaced across the wheelhouse. On the port side is a bench seat. Aft of the three chairs is a bench seat. On the starboard side aft is a single bunk. Right aft is a small galley area, with a small fridge, bench tops and sink. The aft deck has a bench seat and provision for two life rafts. Game fishing poles extend forms the fly bridge aft. Above the wheelhouse is the Monkey Island. This deck has a mast housing, a Raydome f and various aerials, radar scanners and main mast. This mast is retractable on the hydraulic systems to get under all the bridges.
  • 3.5 The “Main Saloon” is situated below the “fly bridge”, from forward to aft the main saloon contains the following items. Forward on the port side is the office. A set of stairs, centrally located leads down to the lower accommodation deck. On the starboard side is a U shaped settee and table. Aft of this is the main switchboard for the vessel. A set of stairs leads up to the fly bridge. Under the stairs is a small fridge and compactor. On the port side aft of the office space is a table with bench seating, with a small flat screen TV. Aft of this table on the port side is the galley, which contains fridge, freezer, microwave oven, dishwasher, hot plates and sink with hot and cold water.
  • 3.6 The “Lower Accommodation Deck” is via the set of stairs forward in the main saloon. This deck contains the following ; Right forward on the port side is a cabin with two double beds over and under each other. A small flat screen TV is in this cabin. Right forward on the starboard side is a cabin with two double beds over and under each other. A small flat screen TV is in this cabin. Both these cabins have watertight doors. On the port side aft of the forward cabin is a toilet and shower. Aft of this is a cabin with a double bed. A small flat screen TV is in this cabin. On the starboard side is two single beds over and under each other. Aft of this on the starboard side is the laundry area with washer and dryer. Aft on the starboard side is access to the Master suite. The cabin is full width of the vessel with a double bed, cabinets, small work area and toilet and shower. A flat screen TV is in this cabin. At the aft bulkhead is a watertight door that gives access to the engine room.
  • 3.7 The “Engine Room” is situated below the “Aft Deck”. The engine room has two accesses, one form the Master cabin and one from the aft deck. The engine room contains the following; port and starboard main engines, fore and aft generators, A/C units, de-salinator plant, bilge nest, accumulator tank, fuel flow system, FM200 fire suppression system, day tank and various hydraulic systems.
  • 3.8 The “Steering Flat” is situated aft of the engine room under the aft deck, The steering flat contains the following; main batteries, two hot water systems, four battery charges, three invertors, two isolator transformers and the steering gear.
  • 3.9 The “Aft Deck” contains the following; a game chair, toilet and shower, bench seat, ice maker, chest freezer, electric BBQ, sink with hot and cold water, shore power connection live bait tank, extendable awning, sponson and deck wash connection. The aft deck is covered with Marinedeck

Survey Results
  • 8.1 ENGINEERING:
  • MACHINERY MOUNTINGS Solid mounts to aluminium bed’s. All fitted bed bolts secured. All gearbox mounts secured. EXHAUST SYSTEMS Dry exit turbo pipes thermal lagged to stainless steel risers and exhaust hose discharge via port and starboard side. Heavy duty clamps fitted.
  • FUEL SYSTEMS Stainless steel pipe works securely fixed fuel transfer manifolds fuel transfer pump fitted. All valves and emergency shut off’s operational. Emergency stops fitted to fuel tank system. Two fuel monitoring systems fitted – FlowScan.
  • PUMPING, PIPING AND HOSES Metallic pipes with flange and hose connections. Double clamps fitted. All sea valve’s operational. There is no corrosion on pipe connections and pipes in the engine room.
  • ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS All wiring, boards and systems built to electrical specifications. The vessel has, 240,24 and 12v systems. Shore power is operational and changeover is operational.
  • 8.2 HULL:
  • HULL EXTERNAL All hull and structure presented in sound condition. The hull is in extremely good condition and is well maintained with fresh paintwork throughout. The vessel is fitted with a bow thruster, stabilisers and four underwater lights on the stern.
  • STRUCTURAL MEMBERS All accessible frames and structural members were inspected and found to be in very good condition with no stress cracks.
  • PROPELLER The vessel is twin screw. The propellers are fixed pitch. Both propellers in good condition
  • RUDDERS There is no play in rudder movement. The rudder stock bearings are in very good condition.
  • DECKS External uncovered decks are non-skid aluminium. All external covered decks are finished with Marine deck 2000 cork flooring. This covering is in very good condition.
  • CHAIN LOCKER Sound condition, with no defects noted, the bitter end is secured. Access is from the fore deck via a flush hatch on the starboard side.
  • STEERING FLAT Structurally sound. All rudder foundation’s sound and secure. Steering gear in good condition, with no leaking fluids noted.
  • PROTECTIVE COATINGS All underwater coatings in new condition.
  • 8.3 WATERTIGHT INTEGRITY:
  • HATCH COAMINGS, DOOR SILLS All coamings and sills comply with survey requirements. No damage noted. All seals in good condition with no perishing.
  • HATCH COVERS All access hatches are aluminium with securing dogs. All are operational and provide a good seal to the gasket rubber
  • WATERTIGHT DOORS In very good condition with good seals.
  • FORWARD FACING WINDOWS There are five (5) forward facing windows in the wheelhouse, in very good condition, with no moisture ingress noted. The window wipers are fitted to the three (3) centre wheelhouse windows.
  • No OF WATERTIGHT BULKHEADS There are seven (6) watertight bulkheads on the vessel. All penetrations filled and sealed.
  • 8.4 SUPERSTRUCTURE AND DECKHOUSE:
  • CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL Aluminium.
  • FLY BRIDGE The fly bridge is accessed by a set of stairs on the aft starboard side. The main console is right forward. There are three con chairs. There is a small galley aft and a small deck outside aft.
  • MAIN SALOON The main saloon contains an office, two tables and seating, the main switchboard and galley.
  • LOWER ACCOMMODATION DECK The lower accommodation contains four cabins, a small laundry area and two single bunks. Watertight doors are at the forward and aft main bulkheads.
  • TOILETS AND SHOWERS There are three toilets and showers on the vessel, one on the starboard side aft deck, one in the Master suite and one on the port side of the lower accommodation.
  • TOTAL BERTHS There is provision for fourteen (12) berths for passengers and crew on this vessel.
